This is a website for Baltimore Web Design and Marketing company.

Overview:

In this project I used WordPress CMS to create a corporate website which had many static pages, blog, bunch of different forms, slideshows, dropdown menus and custom fonts.

Comparing to an old website which looked and functioned like any other WordPress Theme, this website looks and offers a lot more than a standard WordPress theme may offer. This was achieved by using “custom fields”, various plugins and custom page templates.

What I have learned

Cool thing about this project is that I didn’t know Jquery nor Ajax prior to this project. But it was pretty easy for me to learn these languages to create a dynamic controls and attractive slideshows.

Moreover I created an iPhone version of this website in 2 days(!), but management thought that I was wasting my time and I left this part unfinished with only several pages. You can check them out at http://iphone.blueoceanideas.net

Client thoughts

Client, in this case my employer, was very happy to have a great looking, pretty modern and a very functional website which was perfectly search engine optimized and had many compliments from most prospective clients.
